Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Trust me, you are not alone. Starting a business is the dream of a lot of people all over the world.
Billions of people across the world are looking for ways to improve their living situations by presenting different ideas to solve the problems of an audience. And with a large number of resources available, today is the best time to pursue your dream and become an entrepreneur.
And I want to help you start.
Let Me Tell You Something About Starting a Business!
Hello! My name is Juan Israel Ortiz. And I want to show you how to create, build, and market your own business.
I will walk you through the process for free and let you look over my shoulder as I create my freelancing business (Brand and Deal Communications) from the ground up.
Before going into the details of how to create a business, you need to know what you are offering in the first place.
There are three things you can offer an audience:
- Products (anything from shampoo to high-tech software)
- Services (like my business, Brand and Deal)
- Ideas (we do this every day – why not make money off it?)
No matter what you decide to offer your market, know that launching your own business is one of the best financial decision you can make. In fact, entrepreneurship is one of the seven pillars of wealth. So, if your goal is to become rich, building your own business will get you right on track.
However, before going right in and put the pieces of your company together, you will need to do a few things to start out.
What Does Your Life as an Entrepreneur Look Like?
The first thing you need to do is imagine a day in your life as an entrepreneur. What is it like?
Take a moment and seclude yourself with a pen and paper. And try to figure out how your life would be as a business owner. Create in your mind the look and feel of your company as you discover:
- How much you make
- The working environment
- Your employees and partners
- Who you will be helping
- Your office hours
- The pace of your operations
- Life outside of work
- And so on…
Create an essay writing down as many details as possible about your business and personal life. Then print it and keep it in plain sight.
Use the picture you have created as motivation to get to that finish line (whichever it might be). Get constantly reminded of what you want – especially when things don’t go your way.
After figuring out what your life as an entrepreneur would be like, you need to send out this message to the people who depend most on you: your family.
That’s right – it’s to have the dreaded (for most people) family talk.
This is not as hard as it seems. You only need to let them know that you decided to start your own business and ask them for their support.
Answer every question they might have – and be confident about your answers. Make them feel as sure as you are about this decision. And go through the specifics about how life would go for the immediate future (yes, you must get the “sacrifices” part in somehow).
Once you have their vote of confidence, then you will be ready to plan and create your company.
